From tradition to trend – regional products in the modern world Międzynarodowe

“From tradition to trend” was an international youth exchange organized under the Erasmus+ programme. The project brought together 30 participants from four countries: Poland, Italy, Romania, and Bulgaria. Its aim was to introduce young people to the topic of regional products—their cultural, economic, and promotional significance—and to show how traditional goods can become modern trends. Through hands-on workshops, study visits, creative activities, and intercultural integration, participants developed their skills in marketing, entrepreneurship, and teamwork. A strong emphasis was placed on using modern tools such as AI, storytelling, and e-commerce to promote local products.

The exchange brought together 30 young adults aged 18–30 from Poland, Italy, Romania, and Bulgaria. These were socially engaged young people interested in local cultural heritage, entrepreneurship, and modern forms of promotion. The project also involved group leaders and invited experts, including beekeepers, artisans, and marketing trainers.

Area of intervention

The project focused on several key thematic areas relevant to youth development and the promotion of local heritage. First and foremost, it addressed cultural heritage and local identity, emphasizing the value of regional products as carriers of tradition and community history. It also promoted sustainable development, presenting environmentally friendly production methods and highlighting the importance of local resources in responsible consumption.

The project supported youth entrepreneurship by offering opportunities to develop business, creative, and digital skills. A significant role was played by digital transformation—participants learned how to use modern technologies such as artificial intelligence, video marketing, and e-commerce to promote regional products. All activities were grounded in the spirit of intercultural dialogue, fostering mutual understanding, collaboration, and the building of a diverse yet united European community based on shared values.
